Taiwan Center for Mandarin Learning – Chinese Cultural School in Atlanta Hosts Mid-Autumn Festival Celebration, Passing on Traditional Culture

TCML-CCS held a lively Mid-Autumn Festival event, attracting many students to celebrate this important traditional holiday together. The event featured tea-tasting, handmade mooncakes, storytelling of Mid-Autumn legends, and the fun pomelo hat game, offering a diverse and enjoyable experience while blending education with entertainment.

During the tea-tasting session, participants experienced the unique charm of traditional tea culture and learned basic tea-brewing techniques. Students also made mooncakes by hand, enjoying the fun of baking while learning the symbolic significance of mooncakes in the Mid-Autumn Festival.

In the event, teachers vividly narrated the legends of Chang’e flying to the moon and Wu Gang chopping the laurel tree, helping students gain a deeper understanding of the cultural background of this festival. The event culminated in the pomelo hat game, filling the venue with laughter and a joyful, harmonious atmosphere.

This event not only deepened students’ understanding of the Mid-Autumn Festival but also fostered a love and appreciation for Chinese traditional culture.
